Slee’s Key Lime Pie

Ingredients

5 eggs separated

1/2 c. sugar

1 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk

1/2 c. Key West lime juice

1 9 in. graham cracker pie crust

Directions

Separate eggs.
3 eggs yolks will be used in pie filling.
5 egg whites will be used in meringue topping.
Combine condensed milk, egg yolks and lime juice.
Beat until smooth.
Pour filling into pie crust.
Put 5 egg whites & sugar into mixing bowl.
Beat until meringue is stiff and shiny.
Spread the meringue over the filled pie shell being sure the meringue touches the inner edges of the crust to seal the pie.
Bake in a 350 degree preheated oven for 15 minutes or until the meringue has browned lightly.
Chill and serve.
